And when they play it on the radio over and over again :| It gets overrated.

No, I don’t hate it. It means they’re starving less than they did before and not sharing a cigarette between the four of them.

Shut the fuck up with this complaint, indie/hipster/scene cunts. There are worse things.

Hearing The Get Up Kids' cover of Close To Me made me think of another favorite cover: Typecast's version of The Postal Service's Such Great Heights. :]

I wish I could hear Typecast play that one again.

I have decided that if I don't go see The Get Up Kids on September 23rd, I will go see Brand New in October.

I have also decided that if I go see The Get Up Kids on September 23rd, I will still go see Brand New in October.

It’s a win-win situation.

The Get Up Kids: September 23rd at The Glass House

Should I go?

Cons:
It’s on a Wednesday, which means I have work the next day.
This also means that I will likely not have anyone to go with.
I am extremely poor at the moment.
Part of being a responsible adult is (a) going to work and (b) saving my money.

Pros:
They haven’t toured in forever, so seeing them live would be awesome.
I fucking love The Get Up Kids.

I am honestly torn. Is it ok to shirk my responsibilities for a day or two to see a band I have loved for years? Or is that juvenile?

What would you do? Am I a dumbass for even contemplating passing on seeing them?
